<3 <3 <3 ANNOUNCING 2017 Headliner, get ready for an EXCITING performance. INSPIRE Awards PROUD to welcome Sandy Duperval.

She’s a Montreal native, but Toronto is where singer, DJ, and producer Sandy Duperval resides. Her love for music has enabled her to travel all over the world. Sandy is a devoted and passionate artist with over 13 years of vocal training, and has studied under the tutelage of the late legendary icon, Whitney Houston’s mother, Cissy Houston. Her display of vocal control, power and adaptability allows Sandy to communicate her most heartfelt emotions through her music.

Currently, Sandy is the official DJ for Universal Music/Republic Records rising star and Flo-Rida protégé Natalie LaRose. She has toured with LaRose on the “Fifth Harmony - Reflection Tour” in over 30 cities across the USA, as well as attended and played at major events such as the US Open and “We Day”, which was broadcasted live on American television. To add to her achievements, she will also be headlining the first Canada Pride which will take place in Montreal August 2017.

Spotlight on Chris Edwards, Honorary Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient

The recipient of the 2017 INSPIRE Awards’ Honourary Lifetime Achievement Award is Chris Edwards.

Chris Edwards was a bright light in the Toronto LGBTQ community that was extinguished far too soon. Edwards had just concluded a performance as Tina Turner at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre when he fell ill on August 26th. He passed away in hospital on September 6, 2016 at the age of 54.
